Customized Adhesive Coating Line for Rubber-to-Metal Parts
ANGEM designed and manufactured this PLB120-DBC232S automatic chain adhesive spray coating line for a Mexico automotive components manufacturer. The system integrates automatic conveying, workpiece rotation, two-gun spraying, preheating and hot-air circulation drying to provide uniform and stable adhesive coating for rubber-to-metal bonded components.

Integrated Coating Process
Manual Loading
Operators manually place the workpieces onto the rotating holders.
Preheating
Workpieces are preheated at a controlled temperature before primer application.
Chain Indexing
The step-driven chain automatically transfers and positions the workpieces at each station.
Primer Spraying
A three-axis spray gun system applies primer uniformly to the rotating workpieces.
Primer Drying
The primer coating is dried by controlled hot-air circulation.
Topcoat Spraying
A second three-axis spray gun system applies the topcoat to the workpieces.
Topcoat Drying
The topcoat is dried at a controlled temperature of up to 120°C.
Manual Unloading
Operators remove the finished workpieces after the coating process is completed.
Key System Configuration
Three-Axis Spray Systems
Separate three-axis servo-controlled spray gun systems are provided for primer and topcoat application, enabling vertical, forward-and-backward and angular movement.
Dual-Adhesive Supply System
The adjustable adhesive supply system uses diaphragm pumps and pneumatic stirring to supply primer and topcoat separately.
Chain Indexing System
The step-driven chain is equipped with 120 rotating holders and provides positioning accuracy of ±0.5 mm.
PLC & Touchscreen Control
The Mitsubishi PLC and touchscreen allow operators to set and store parameters such as cycle time, drying temperature and spray gun stroke.
Workpiece Rotation System
A double-sided V-belt drives the workpieces to rotate during spraying, helping achieve uniform coating coverage.
Safety Protection System
Light curtains, safety-door interlocks and loading confirmation controls help protect operators during production.
