Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating Solutions

ANGEM provides automated drum spray coating solutions for rubber seals, O-rings and other small elastomer components, helping manufacturers achieve uniform, consistent and efficient surface coating.

Rubber seals and O-rings often require functional surface coatings to reduce friction, prevent sticking, improve wear resistance and simplify assembly. ANGEM drum spray coating machines continuously tumble the parts during spraying, helping the coating reach different surfaces while minimizing coating waste and manual handling.

Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating Solutions

Challenges in Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating

Rubber seals and O-rings are small, lightweight components with curved and recessed surfaces. Achieving a uniform functional coating on these parts can be difficult, especially when processing large quantities in batches.

Common production challenges include:

  • Uneven coating on curved and recessed surfaces
  • Parts sticking together during batch coating
  • Excessive coating accumulation in grooves
  • Inconsistent film thickness between individual parts
  • Surface damage caused by uncontrolled tumbling
  • High coating waste and labor-intensive manual spraying

Recommended Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating Process

A controlled drum spray coating process combines continuous part tumbling, precision spraying, flash-off and hot-air drying. The process can be adjusted according to the seal material, part geometry, coating type, batch size and required film performance.

ANGEM Automated Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating Solution

ANGEM provides customized drum spray coating equipment for the batch processing of rubber seals, O-rings and other small elastomer components. The system is suitable for applying anti-friction, lubricating, wear-resistant and other functional coatings, subject to the coating material and process requirements.

During operation, the parts continuously tumble inside the rotating drum while the spray gun applies the coating. Drum speed, spray time, coating dosage, flash-off time and drying temperature can be adjusted to achieve consistent coverage while reducing manual handling and coating waste.

Each solution is evaluated according to the customer’s actual parts and production requirements. Part dimensions, rubber material, coating information, batch weight, target capacity and required drying conditions should be confirmed before the final machine configuration is selected.

Recommended Equipment for Rubber Seal & O-Ring Coating

Drum spray coating machines are recommended for the batch coating of rubber seals, O-rings and other small elastomer components. The appropriate model should be selected according to part dimensions, batch weight, coating characteristics, required drying temperature and target production capacity.
